Sack it to Me

*** Thankfully, I had my trusty sister-in-law correct me on my spelling. For some reason I thought “sacks” were spelled “sacs.” Awkward… Like her grandma always told her, “Think with your upstairs, not your downstairs.” Thanks Lisa.***

As you all know, I am a big fan of upcycling items to give them a new life. Today I want to talk about potato and coffee sacks. I love all the things you can do with them: pillows, headboards, poufs, etc.

Check out some cool DIY projects for potato and coffee bean sacks:

I love that this victorian vintage chair was reupholstered with a coffee sack because it makes the chair look more up to date and worldly.

Another great use it to create storage. The fabric of a potato sack is strong and sturdy enough to stay upright.

How beautiful is this headboard!!

Pillows are another fun DIY project for this kind of fabric.

A great rug. Guatemala, represent!

I love this cute bench with the painted weathered legs.

What a cute bulletin board and look at the ruler used to additional hanging function.

A cheap and easy way to recreate! I hope you’ve been inspired.
