Rethinking the Indoor Plant

Good afternoon, Monday. I’m not sure if I am ready for you but I know you sure are ready for me :/

I find a lot of friends and clients have trouble when trying to bring plants into their space. I wanted to share some inspiration today to get the traditional indoor plant idea out and bring in some non-traditional planting for our spaces. Yes, you can put a plant in the corner of your room OR you could create a living art piece with it. Throw it up on the wall or hang it from the ceiling. Heck, you can even get furniture that grows plants! I don’t think people quite realize the effects that plants have in our environments. Check it out:

There are many stores that have wall and ceiling planters. I always like to buy from Etsy or local stores. If you are in Santa Cruz, DIG Gardens is a rockstar of a place as is 5 Feet From the Moon, which specializes in concrete and steel but creates some beautiful furniture incorporating plants. And of course you can always DIY these things if you have enough time and are inspired.
