Ceiling Paint Ideas

Since I’m on this paint train, I might as well go up towards the ceiling. Check out some awesome ceiling paint ideas:

I like the idea of taking an accent wall and follow it up the wall. It has a more visual presence.

I am loving these thick striped ceilings in a more neutral color.

I think this is a very romantic room. I like the idea of the walls being clean and white and the ceiling being a huge pop of color.

Why not take the herringbone pattern up the ceiling?!

Big fan of the navy color and I love the fact that it starts 3/4s of the way up to create a cozier space.

Another striped ceiling idea except these are bolder and brighter. I love it!!!

What do you think guys?

STRIPED FLOORS

Stripes are taking over!! But before I get into striped flooring, I have to share my horoscope from yesterday:

“…What you may find much more satisfactory is to simply rework and refurbish what is already there. Sometimes a new paint job makes everything new again, so you don’t have to start over from scratch. They don’t make things like they used to, so preserve what you can…”

Ok, that’s some redunkulous stuff right there. How does an iPhone horoscope app know me so well?? Anyways, let’s move on to painting striped flooring, shall we? It’s quite exciting to get inspired by all these different ways to add spice into your space… Ooooh that sounds catchy: spice in your space.

This post ties into a post I did a few months ago on stenciled floors.

Well, it’s 80 degrees in the dead of winter here in Santa Cruz. I’m not complaining =)… Hope you are enjoying your day!

STRIPES

I have bold tendencies. I like stripes, patterns and bright colors. The important thing when having bold tendencies is to have balance in the room. At least for me, if I am going bold, it is on a select area and the rest will be muted otherwise, we have a headache of a room. On a striped note, there are many different flavors of this pattern:
